These are some of the projects we have been working on recently. As you can see we work on a wide variation of projects. (Please be aware that we do not get involved in the design side of web sites. The quality of design in these projects may vary).
Sytner - BMW 5 Series
With the launch of the new BMW 5 Series earlier in the year, Wildfire Advertising were wanting to produce a competition microsite as part of Sytner's launch marketing campaign.
Visitors were driven to the site via an email campaign created by Wildfire.
One really important aspect of the competition was to track which email campaign the visitor had come from. (There was a different campaign per Sytner branch).
The hosting of the competition had already been setup by Wildfire and as such we developed the site using PHP. We specifically took the opportunity to use CodeIgniter, a PHP MVC framework. Although we found the framework to be somewhat simplified to the MVC frameworks we typically use, it did what we required of it.
The campaign proved to be very successful, and once again Sytner were very happy with our input.
Work involved
- Creating the necessary PHP code (with CodeIgniter) to run the competition site
- Creating the XHTML, CSS and JS for the site
- Providing a means to help with the tracking of users
- Working with already organised hosting solution
